The year 2021 was a special milestone for the entire Spiel-Bau team - on June 1st we celebrated our 30th birthday. Our team started in Damsdorf in 1991 with "only" 14 courageous and determined employees. Just two years later we set the first exclamation mark in the industry. At the FSB trade fair in Cologne, we presented stainless steel posts as an alternative to wood - the first on the European market! But that should only be the beginning of a long-lasting success story. The continuous development of product innovations, outstanding designs and the optimization of processes over three decades not only gave us a firm place in the industry, but also made children's hearts beat faster all over the world. With our slogan "We produce happiness!" we proudly convey the statement that the work of our employees makes people happy - this is also reflected in the international team.
In the various departments, more than 100 employees work every day to produce both high-quality and durable play equipment for customers in over 22 countries, while meeting our own high quality standards.
From the first hand drawings, which our managing director Jörn Schaefer drew on the drawing board at the time, an in-house design team developed over time, which not only fulfills all customer wishes, but also designs new product lines and highlights. Our construction department with technical draftsmen and engineers ensures innovations and unique detail solutions. They convert the designs into factory plans ready for production with skill and a lot of diligence. We are particularly proud of the fact that 100% of the play equipment is manufactured at our company headquarters. Various trades process the high quality materials and assemble all products in our own halls. After 30 years, we proudly look back on the many great projects that not only make our customers happy, but above all children all over the world. “We owe this to the tireless commitment and hard work of all our colleagues” says Managing Director Jörn Schaefer.
